The Painter is Always Painting

The beautiful thing is that no matter what the sky looks like during the day,

Sunrise and Sunset never fail to be their most beautiful moments.

It’s like a Painter, each day painting two gorgeous masterpieces,

And we have the privilege of watching him do so.

Day by day by day.

The sun always rises, 

Just like it always sets.

It doesn’t matter what we say or what we do,

It is always there.

Sometimes I wake early enough to catch it,

Or go out at just the right time to see it go.

But sometimes I miss it.

And that’s okay.

Because it doesn’t matter if I am there to witness it,

The Painter is always painting.

Really, we are all the Painter.

We control what we can control,

But when all is said and all is done,

Our lives are beautiful canvases that we get to do whatever we want with.

We love and we wait and we cry and we laugh,

We meet new people,

See new things,

Create more art to add to our ever-growing collection.

And just like the Painter that paints the sky,

It was never meant to last forever,

So that is why we love our sunrises and our sunsets,

Because that is what we are meant to do.

As it is something new.

Something beautiful.

Something so new and so beautiful that it makes the gray skies all worth it.
